The Last Kind Words Saloon by Larry McMurtry

Wyatt Earp and Doc Holliday, now hailed as heroes for their days of subduing drunks in Abilene and Dodge, are living out the last days of a way of life on the open range. The novel follows the two friends from Long Grass, Texas to Buffalo Bill's Wild West Show, and finally to Tombstone, Arizona, and the famed gunfight at the O.K. Corral.
