The last original wife by Dorothea Benton Frank

It's summer -- read a beach book - this is the best!
Leslie Anne Greene Carter is the 'last original wife' among her husbands successful friends.  Leslie has had enough of the dishes, the miserly allowance, the breakfasts, the dinners, the GOLF!  She accidentally finds out their true worth as a couple - 22 million! that is the proverbial final straw - she leaves and goes to Charleston, her hometown to stay with her brother (who, by the way, hasn't been allowed to her house in George ever because he happens to be gay).
Life opens - joy fills - just the scent of the Lowcountry air fills her with a good feeling.  If you haven't read Dorothea - please do! you will have a great time!
